if we have a nice weather is a good opportunity for a walking tour, starting by Plaza España we,ll stroll through the avenue that was built on the occasion of the Barcelona international fair which was organized in 1929 and was the perfect excuse to urbanize the hill with its wide avenues and big pavilions that still remind us this great event. Fort he tour we have several options, depending on your preferences.
OPTION 1: MNAC – OLIMPIC RING – MIRO,S MUSEUM
Starting from Plaza España and walking along the Maria Cristina Avenue we,ll take escalators leading up to the Catalonia Art Museum (MNAC) once there we can choose to visit some of the collections, the Romanesque is the most important in the world, but there are others we have 1,000 years of history in its interior, ranging from century X to the nowadays, from there will again take more escalators to reach Olympic Ring, and we will arrive closer to Miró,s Museum (optional interior).
OPTION 2: SPANISH VILLAGE – CAIXA FORUM
From the Plaza España we will stroll through the impressive Maria Cristina Avenue and we headed up to CaixaForum, without visiting any special exposition we can stroll through this old textile factory arrive to its terrace and see a nice view, from here we are going to go to the Spanish Village, which was built in 1929, to discover the characteristic places of all over Spain at that time and recreate them in this particular area ,where we have different activities and a large handicraft Center.
OPTIONN 3: CASTLE – CABLE CAR- OLIMPIC RING
We will take a bus or taxi that will take us to the top of the Castle of Montjuïc Hill (optional entrance) and then will take a cable car that allows to see the entire city from the air, and walking down we stop to visit the Olympic Ring and taking escalators down to the National Palace, discover its interior and ending in Plaza España.
