Discover Arrecife

959

It is the capital of Lanzarote since 1847, being Teguise the capital untill that moment.

The origin of the name Arrecife is still somewhat uncertain, although it can probably be related to the geological formations of its coasts.

We will start the tour of the city from the Charco de San Ginés; we move to the area of the old Naos dock to discover the fishing traditions of the city, and thus be able to understand its evolution over the years.

In the second part of the visit, we will focus on the more modern Arrecife, the already capital city of the island:

the «Yellow House»
Square and Church of San Ginés
the San Gabriel castle
the Arroyo House.

Let yourself be guided through the streets of the capital of Lanzarote, the city that gave birth to César Manrique.

A walk through the most emblematic neighborhoods and streets of Arrecife to live an unforgettable experience.
